“Quiet is the New Loud!” is een van de maandelijkse concertreeksen van Popcultuur Wageningen, met intieme, kleinschalige optredens in de gezellige en ontspannen setting van de openbare bibliotheek in Wageningen: de bblthk. Sinds 2011 heeft het evenement een sterke reputatie opgebouwd, met een stil en aandachtig publiek dat zorgt voor een unieke ervaring voor zowel luisteraars als artiesten. Kom dus langs bij de bblthk en geniet van de beste akoestische singer-songwriters en bands uit Nederland!
The Flamenco Thief
Craig Sutton, oftewel “The Flamenco Thief”, is een Engelse instrumentalist die fingerstyle- en percussieve gitaartechnieken combineert om een klassiek-moderne Mediterrane sound te creëren, rijk aan Zuid-Amerikaanse invloeden. Zijn muziek verweeft Spaanse akoestische muziek, Latin, rumba en bossa nova met hiphop en elektronica.
Met een carrière van 14 jaar, 4 albums en talloze tournees door Europa, Azië en Zuid-Amerika heeft hij zichzelf gevestigd als een gerespecteerde artiest binnen de onafhankelijke muziekscene.
High Horse
Maak kennis met het intieme en verrassende Utrechtse duo High Horse. High Horse brengt diverse Americana en folk liedjes, steevast mooie en verrassende songs met een verhaal. Laat je meevoeren op de tweestemmige zang en de tonen van hun akoestische gitaren. High Horse speelt een mix van eigen werk en covers.
High Horse heeft ruime podiumervaring als duo. Zo stonden zij recent nog in Tivoli. De bandleden zijn daarnaast ook actief in verschillende muzikale formaties waaronder Cosmopolitans, een indiepop-formatie uit Utrecht. In 2022 is High Horse de studio in gegaan om de demo ‘out in the open’ op te nemen, waarop drie eigen songs te beluisteren zijn. In juni 2024 zijn ze opnieuw de studio in gegaan en hebben ze het nummer ‘Yellow Road’ uitgebracht.

His music incorporates Spanish Acoustic, Latin, Rumba, and Bossa Nova with Hip-Hop and Electronica. With a career spanning 14 years, 4 albums, and numerous tours in Europe, Asia, and South America, he has established himself as a respected artist within the independent music scene.
High Horse
Meet the intimate and surprising Utrecht-based duo High Horse. High Horse performs a diverse selection of Americana and folk songs: always beautiful and unexpected tracks with a story to tell. Let yourself be carried away by their two-part harmonies and the sounds of their acoustic guitars. High Horse plays a mix of original songs and covers.
High Horse has extensive stage experience as a duo. They recently performed at TivoliVredenburg. The band members are also active in several other musical projects, including Cosmopolitans, an indie pop group from Utrecht. In 2022, High Horse entered the studio to record the demo Out in the Open, featuring three original songs. In June 2024, they returned to the studio and released the track Yellow Road.
