OVER YONDER?
[English below]

OVER YONDER is there for the curious and those who are unafraid of surprise. We go looking for intrigue as we move 'over yonder,' just beyond what's familiar and out past the edge of view.
There are no fixed genres, as the performances might drift slow and moody, swell up or settle quietly and intimately. What’s certain in the small-scale Wilde Wereld Theater, is that you will sit right up and close to the performers. On October 9th and 10th, we'll shine a light on artists easily drowned out by mass culture, giving both rising and established names room to run wild and surprise. Come ready to feel something you didn't expect.
OVER YONDER is a two-day festival, once again taking place on the second weekend of October this year: on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 October 2026. With two editions behind us, for this edition we're teaming up with Dan Tuffy and Popcultuur Wageningen.

VRIJDAG 09 OKT
Lotte Sarembe writes and performs experimental folk. She previously released her solo EP “Nobody’s Fault” featuring glasharp, vocals and guitar. Reminiscent of early Joni Mitchell or Kate Bush, she is an explorative artist that combines an angelic use of sound and lyrical use of melody with the intimacy of personal, close to home expression. Inspired by the material of wine glasses that does not yield to efficiency or optimization, her music transcends the rush and superficiality of life today.
The whisper-soft piano tones and playful synthesizer textures of neo-classical composer and electronic producer Winterdagen create the perfect backdrop for the introspective and immersive poetry of Moze Naél. Despite coming from very different worlds, the two artists find an unlikely harmony, in which their unique styles seamlessly merge in a world that is dreamy, melancholic and warm.
"All the Joys of a Noise" is the personal project of Lluís Pérez-Villegas. It places contemporary poetry, imagination and sonic exploration at the artistic centre, allowing us to connect with self-honesty, enthusiasm and the endless discovery of aesthetics. The music draws influences from mediterranean folk music, contemporary sounds, impressionist harmony using traditional chants, melody and percussions. This project has been an opportunity to bring together loved and admired people from the contemporary music scene, to share “Téntol” Live, and keep developing sound, daily, for the local audience.
ZATERDAG 10 OKT
As her thoughts flow like water, the ink flows onto paper where Mips tries to capture in words what she has not yet understood about life. Daunting and uplifting as spring tide.
Eastern Mediterranean street folk vibes, elements of jazz-rock, other-worldly sax lines and hyperactive percussive grooves that explode and fall back to nothing with a high-lonesome voice to carry you through the stories of their songs. Nefala is a collective of five very different high-quality musicians working passionately to deliver a message to the world. Ornate and exotic melodies carrying socio-political tales of apathy, war, and a longing for the return of tenderness.
Fans of Over Yonder will be familiar with Madelief van Vlijmen’s mesmerising stage presence. She is a local artist, festival founder Dan Tuffy’s main musical collaborator and has played many times in Wageningen with him over the years. This time she is back in her own right as a performer, re-directing the unique personality of her talents towards her own work with a cracking band. Her skills as a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist & composer shine brightly in a show that she has created specifically for this year’s festival. With influences ranging from French Chanson, early 90’s Manchester Rave & EDM to the songwriting of Kate Bush and David Bowie, this promises to be something very special. Madelief says “this is the most awesome thing I have done yet. I have stripped back the huge sound I hear in my mind to a tight 3-piece act using bass, synths, drum machines, guitar and vocals - I can’t wait!”
